• Summary of Existing Policy and Guiding Principles 2020
  The 2020 edition was developed with the assistance of the seven standing League policy committees and the League Board of Directors to ensure that the content accurately reflects existing League policy. The contents reflect policy changes adopted by the League through February 2020, following the review of League positions on legislation and annual conference resolutions.
• Legislative Report: A Compilation of 2020 Statutes
  Each year, the League of California Cities develops a comprehensive summary of the legislative year, along with descriptions, divided by issue area, of the hundreds of bills of interest to cities that passed the Legislature and were signed into law by the Governor.
• Local Redistricting Commissions
  Every ten years, cities and counties must redraw their council and supervisorial districts to ensure they remain substantially equal in population. This process, known as “redistricting,” is mandated by the U.S. Constitution. 
• Water Policy Guidelines
  The California Water Guidelines were first adopted by the League of California Cities (The League) in 1988. The League and the County Supervisors Association of California (CSAC) developed the guidelines. Together, at the time, the two organizations represented 58 counties and 449 cities.
• Institute for Local Government Sustainability Best Practices Framework
  The Institute for Local Government’s Sustainability Best Practices Framework offers options for local action in ten areas. They are drawn from practical experiences of cities and counties throughout California.
• CEQA Exemptions for Potential Application in Disaster Recovery Efforts
  The purpose of this technical advisory is to provide guidance to public agencies regarding exemptions under the California Environmental Quality Act (Pub. Resources Code, § 21000 et seq.)
