California continues to reshape the housing approval process through new legislation, expanded streamlining tools, and evolving CEQA requirements. From AB 130 and SB 131 to Density Bonus Law, the Builder's Remedy, ministerial approval pathways, and commonly used CEQA exemptions, local agencies must navigate a growing array of laws designed to accelerate housing production.
This webinar will provide a high-level overview of the key statutes, streamlining mechanisms, and environmental review provisions that are changing how housing projects are processed and approved throughout California. California voters continue to signal their strong approval for licensed cannabis business operations in their communities. This past election, voters across the state approved 23 of the 27 local cannabis revenue related ballot measures put before them. In this Cal Cities Partner webinar, Culture Cannabis Club’s Devon Julian and Barigye McCoy joined by preeminent local government and cannabis lobbyist (and former Cal Cities staffer) Amy O’Gorman Jenkins highlighted how local governments are spurring new economic development and building their tax base with licensed cannabis.
The Cal Cities Partner program is developing a list of Partner-led educational sessions that can be drawn from throughout the year to provide educational sessions for conferences, regional division meetings, or webinars. The ability to submit a session is restricted to Cal Cities Partner members and is a direct benefit of participation in the program. Partners should submit session concepts and potential presenters via our online submission tool.
