Government Code Section 7903: Local Gann limit reports

Government Code Section 7903 requires all cities to include specified state subventions within their appropriations limits. Due to a change in the 2023-24 budget, the Department of Finance (DOF) will now provide the League of California Cities a list of these state subventions, along with additional details regarding the dollar value attributable to each subvention. Linked below you will find a letter from DOF to Cal Cities memorializing the transmittal of this information, as well as a list of cities and their respective state subvention amounts. Additionally, included below is a list of impacted cities and a more detailed breakdown of their individual state subvention amount.
