The Fire Chiefs Leadership Seminar is open for registration through Nov. 29

There is more to being a firefighter than just putting out fires. Firefighters also need to be mentally fit! Join fellow fire chiefs in San Diego this Dec. 13-14 to meet with leaders from across the state, hear from engaging keynote speakers, and learn new approaches to the everyday challenges from expert panelists.

The Fire Chiefs Leadership Seminar is open to fire chiefs, chief officers, union leadership, and others working in fire response services throughout California. This year’s sessions cover topics such as leadership, emergency medical services, fire mapping, collaboration across municipal departments, and more.

Registration and hotel information 

Registration for the full seminar starts at $450 for city officials from any Cal Cities member city. Registration includes admission to all educational sessions, Wednesday lunch and reception, Thursday breakfast, and access to all program materials. The deadline to register online is Wednesday, Nov. 29. After that, officials must register on-site. 

The 2023 Fire Chiefs Seminar will be at the San Diego Mission Bay Hotel. A limited number of hotel rooms are available at a reduced rate for conference attendees who register before Tuesday, Nov. 21. Discounted hotel rooms often sell out early, so advance registration is encouraged.
