Caucuses

Cal Cities promotes membership in one of its five diversity caucuses, which provides city officials with common interests, characteristics, issues, and identity as another way to connect with each other. The African American, Asian Pacific Islander, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer, Latino, and Women's Caucuses reflect the diversity of California's 482 cities, and membership is open to all Cal Cities' members, as is participation in all caucus meetings and events.

Explore each of the caucus profiles, goals, activities, and events and see if there is a diversity caucus for you.

Parks and Recreation Roundtable

November 2, 2021 9:00 AM

Register

Join us on November 2 at 9 a.m. for another Parks and Recreation Roundtable. This is a great opportunity to discuss pressing issues and best practices with your Parks and Rec peers! As we move into fall and closer to the Holiday season, let’s come together and figure out how we can best serve our cities and engage our residents during this time.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • Holiday Season: planned activities and challenges
  • Winter youth and adult sports (indoors and outdoors)
  • Strategies to provide services in 2022
  • New law of interest

Roundtable conversations are member-driven. If you have topics or questions you’d like to discuss at this roundtable, let us know here. We want to celebrate what you are doing in your communities. Please send pictures of your activities to Zach Seals at zseals@calcities.org.

Roundtable Discussions are available as an exclusive member benefit and are open to Cal Cities member cities only. Discussions are member-driven and will not be recorded. For more information on Roundtable Discussions, please email  Meghan McKelvey. For questions specific to registration, please contact Cal Cities’ Registrar, Megan Dunn.
