Connect with your Department and Division during the Annual Conference and Expo!

Aug 11, 2021

Held September 22-24 in Sacramento, the League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo offers multiple opportunities for city leaders to gain perspectives and knowledge on challenging, real-world issues facing cities.

Regional Division and Department meetings are just two of the ways that officials can connect, learn, and collaborate during the Annual Conference and Expo and beyond.

Conference registration is required to attend Regional Division and Department meetings. Full registration includes admission to the expo floor, access to dynamic breakout sessions and state-mandated training, opportunities to earn professional education credits, electronic access to all program materials, and more. Over 1,500 city officials — an all-time high — have already registered.

Department Meetings

Departments connect city officials with others in similar professions from throughout California. During the annual conference, members discuss the issues they are facing, hear timely legislative updates, and find common ground, which propels their work on unified department goals, and sets the course for positive change within their communities. Regional Division Meetings

Made up of elected and career city officials, Regional Divisions cover every corner of the state and serve as the League of California Cities’ grassroots advocacy core. City officials, both elected and professional city staff, work closely with Cal Cities’ regional public affairs managers to develop region-specific programs and carry out grassroots activities in support of specific legislative, regulatory, and ballot measure goals. During the Annual Conference and Expo, Divisions meet to discuss Cal Cities business and regional issues, as well as deepen relationships with each other.

On Wednesday, September 22, the following Divisions will gather during a luncheon:
