Here’s an updated sneak peek at this year’s Annual Conference and Expo schedule

Aug 3, 2022

The League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo is just one month away! Join Cal Cities and over 1,700 city officials in Long Beach for three days of learning, collaboration, and celebration. Scheduled for Sept. 7-9, the annual conference is the way to spur important ideas and discussions about challenging, city-specific issues.

For example, public works directors can learn what steps to take before applying for federal infrastructure funding. Meanwhile, finance directors can discover how to better support housing in their communities through their policy, finance, and communications decisions.

Others may be interested in new ways to engage vulnerable residents in order to advance equity and create more resilient communities. Officials can also learn how to spur economic development in rural communities, comply with organic waste recycling requirements, or reduce homelessness.

The conference also offers multiple ways to earn continuing education credits. City clerks can earn a certified municipal clerk/master municipal clerk credit while learning about responsibilities under the Political Reform Act. Additionally, city attorneys can dive deep into municipal litigation and emerging legal trends while also earning minimum continuing legal education credits.

More information about this year’s schedule is available in the “conference schedule” section of the Annual Conference and Expo webpage. If you plan on attending the annual conference with a group, consider dividing the sessions up in advance to maximize the conference’s full educational benefits.
