Session descriptions for the League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo are now online! This year’s conference features a slate of practical solutions to complex challenges, including dangerous e-bike usage, bulk public comments, employee burnout, escalating fire risk, and changing immigration laws.

Policy experts submitted hundreds of proposals for consideration this year, which Cal Cities members whittled down to the most relevant for cities. The selected sessions cover a range of topics, including housing, natural disasters, economic development, public safety, and beyond — all with the intention of supporting urgent and emerging city needs.

Session descriptions are on the Annual Conference and Expo webpage under the Program section. More details, including exact times and speakers, will be available over the coming weeks. Check back often for updates.

Registration and hotels

Early bird registration for all three days — $675 for city officials from any member city — ends next Wednesday. After July 15, full conference registration for city officials is $725. Full conference registration includes access to general and concurrent sessions, the expo hall, CitiPAC and diversity caucus receptions, as well as grab-and-go breakfast on Thursday and Friday, and lunch on Thursday.

A limited number of hotel rooms are available at reduced rates for registered attendees and exhibitors. After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Cal Cities’ housing information page to book discounted rooms. There are plenty of hotels in Anaheim, but discounted rooms often sell out before the Sept. 1 deadline. Reserve yours early!

Cal Cities strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Event Registration Specialist Megan Dunn. Every effort will be made to honor requests submitted.

To learn more about the conference, including frequently asked questions, review the Annual Conference and Expo webpage. Scammers may contact you claiming to be the housing bureau/service for the conference. Cal Cities does not use a housing service. Only trust emails from @calcities.org or the official hotel you book with.
