By Cal Cities Education Staff
Do you have an idea that other cities can build on? Cal Cities is accepting dynamic, forward-thinking session proposals for the Public Works Officers Institute. Held Feb. 25-27 at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Monterey, this three-day conference connects local public works officers with new ideas, strategies, and solutions to help keep their communities thriving.
We need your input!
Member-driven and member-led programming is a cornerstone of Cal Cities’ educational activities. Over 95% of all programming comes directly from our open calls for proposals! Submissions from individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations on any topic of interest are welcome.
Cal Cities encourages session proposals that are creative and modern in their programming and format. Submissions on any topic relevant to public works are welcome. Previous sessions include:

- The California Strategic Highway Safety Plan: Partnering to Save Lives on California’s Public Roads
- Fleet and Electric Utility Partnerships for EV Implementation
Sessions may not include sales pitches, commercialism, or product promotion of any kind. The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, Aug. 29.
