“The Future of Work is Here” — Opening Keynote, Feb. 1, 12-1:30 p.m.Keynote-speaker-city-managers.jpg

Conference participants will have the privilege to hear from dynamic and award-winning keynote speaker and technology futurist Crystal Washington, named one of Forbes Magazine’s “Top 50 Leading Female Futurists” in 2020. Endless technology innovations, a new generation entering the ranks, and a changing global marketplace were already dramatically impacting the face of the workplace when 2020 arrived and flipped the script upside down. City managers were on the front lines with minimal financial support and maximum challenges to handle the massive disruptions posed by the pandemic. In this high-energy session, Washington will explore how city managers can innovate and thrive while keeping an eye on the horizon and prepare to ride future waves of change over the next three to five years.

Attendees will also discover unique ways to embrace technology trends and uncover strategies to strengthen constituent connections through technology without losing that personal touch; ways in which technology is re-programming us and how to use that information for the future; and what to expect in a future workplace following the transitions of the past year. Be there to learn firsthand how to fortify your city's future and get a chance to have your questions answered live!
