Showcase Your Small City

This year’s theme is: Why I Love My Small City: Stories of Resilience, Courage and Community. NLC has several resources for small cities to use on its website to share how your city is responding to the unique issues it faces. There is a short form on the NLC website that allows cities to share services, a program or project that shows love to its residents. These stories and accompanying pictures can be shared on NLC’s social media pages showcasing what makes your small town unique.
Your city can also commemorate Small Cities Month with a proclamation. A sample proclamation is available for cities to download to proclaim July 2019 as Small Cities Month and encourage state and national leaders to invest in small cities and towns.
Small cities and towns are also encouraged to use the hashtag #SmallCitiesMonth when sharing their innovation and creativity on their social media accounts.
