Join us on October 25 at 2 p.m. for a Regulating Cannabis Roundtable. We will be discussing the state’s regulatory framework and lessons learned from cities operating in the regulated market. The Governor’s Budget included $20.5 million to establish a cannabis local jurisdiction retail access grant program intended to provide funding to support cities and counties in the development and implementation of a local retail licensing program. Approximately 179 cities and 33 counties allow for cannabis retail, with many jurisdictions currently developing local cannabis regulations for both medical and adult use. This is an opportunity to connect with some of those jurisdictions participating in the regulated market to get a better understanding of potential impacts and opportunities for cities.

Some topics we currently plan to cover include:

  • Cannabis Legislation
  • Medicinal Delivery Compliance
  • City Ordinances
  • State and Local Taxation

Moderators:
Elisa Arcidiacono, Public Safety Lobbyist, Cal Cities
Doria Wilms, Deputy City Manager, City of Desert Hot Springs

Roundtable Discussions are available as an exclusive member benefit and are open to Cal Cities member cities only. Discussions are member driven and will not be recorded.
