Aug 4, 2021

League of California Cities endorsement requests are due September 7.

The National League of Cities (NLC) is accepting applications for leadership positions on its board of directors, federal advocacy committees, member councils, and constituency groups. Each position allows city leaders to bring their expertise to the national level and shape the direction of NLC and its national municipal policy. City officials can apply for up to three different groups.

Applicants must be from an NLC direct member city and be a current member of NLC, with up-to-date and paid membership dues and activity fees when applicable at the time of application. Forms must be submitted online by September 21, 2021.

City leaders applying for the NLC board of directors or second vice-president position may request an endorsement from the League of California Cities. All requests are due before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7. Request forms can be sent to Pam Herrera.

Founded nearly 100 years ago, the National League of Cities is comprised of city, town, and village leaders focused on improving the quality of life for their current and future constituents.
