• How to Request Funding: Large city jurisdictions eligible to receive funding directly from Treasury should submit a request for funding through the Treasury Submission Portal. Make sure to review the checklist to request payment. Small city jurisdictions should submit a request for funding through the California Department of Finance Portal. Learn more about the application process for small cities on the DOF website.  The Treasury also has a resource center set up to assist non-entitlement cities.

On Nov. 15, 2021, President Biden signed into law the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which comprises billions in new federal investments in the nation’s infrastructure, including more than $25 billion for California to repair roads, bridges, and highways and more than $600 million to prepare transportation systems for extreme weather, drought, and wildfires.
