City leaders to gather at the Capitol and urge lawmakers to find a permanent home in the state budget to prevent and reduce homelessness and boost the supply of affordable housing

Sacramento — The League of California Cities will hold a news conference and member rally with hundreds of city officials to share new survey results that underscore the need for the state to invest $3 billion in ongoing, permanent funding to prevent and reduce homelessness and boost affordable housing.

Attendees will hear from both state lawmakers and local leaders as they share their perspectives on preventing and reducing homelessness, as well as the roles, responsibilities, and resources needed to support our state’s most vulnerable residents.
