Cal Cities seeks proposals for 2021 City Clerks New Law and Elections Seminar

Member-driven and member-led programming is a cornerstone of Cal Cities’ educational activities. Over 95% of all programming comes directly from our open calls for proposals! 

The League of California Cities is seeking session proposals for the City Clerks New Law and Elections Seminar, taking place December 8-10 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City. Designed for city clerks of all tenures, the seminar covers current issues and provides city clerks with skills and knowledge that will help them in their daily operations.

Cal Cities is looking for thorough, thoughtful, and complete proposals that tell how your session can help city clerks improve their communities, leadership abilities, and knowledge within their roles. Submissions — non-commercial in nature — from any individual, group, business, or organization on any topic are welcome.  

Topics to consider include:

  • Elections, redistricting, and voting rights
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Leadership and personal development  
  • Public Records Act
  • Records management
  • Emergency response and preparedness
  • Technology
  • Workplace culture
  • COVID-19 related changes
  • And much more!

Sessions may not include sales, commercialism. or product promotion of any kind. Proposals must be submitted online through the session proposal form.
