Cal Cities announces revised health and safety protocols for events

Mar 9, 2022

Due to the decreasing case rates of COVID-19 and lifting of many restrictions throughout the state, Cal Cities is revising its health- and safety-related policies for meetings and events.

Beginning March 11, 2022, Cal Cities will align protocols with the State of California. For most meetings and events, proof of vaccination or negative test will no longer be required. In addition, masks will not be required.

Attendees are urged to follow federal and state recommendations, which strongly recommend wearing masks for indoor events.

Cal Cities will continue to honor additional requirements required by the local jurisdiction or event venue. Specific information on any additional protocols needed will be provided to attendees prior to each event.

Cal Cities is excited to hold in-person meetings again and provide an opportunity for members to get together for conferences, board, division, department, and caucus events. Safety is a top priority for Cal Cities, and every participant — attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and staff — plays a critical role in risk mitigation.

If an attendee develops any symptoms of COVID-19 prior to or during a meeting or event, the attendee should refrain from attending.

Cal Cities’ goal is to provide exceptional educational experiences and networking opportunities that make attendees and their cities more successful, and in an environment that is safe for all. To achieve this goal, all attendees are expected to adhere to the meeting and event requirements.
