Caucuses
Cal Cities promotes membership in one of its five diversity caucuses, which provides city officials with common interests, characteristics, issues, and identity as another way to connect with each other. The African American, Asian Pacific Islander, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer, Latino, and Women's Caucuses reflect the diversity of California's 482 cities, and membership is open to all Cal Cities' members, as is participation in all caucus meetings and events.
Explore each of the caucus profiles, goals, activities, and events and see if there is a diversity caucus for you.

Join us for a Climate Adaptation Planning Roundtable Discussion on Tuesday, August 16. As risks related to climate change continue to increase, it is important for every city to be planning how they will respond to climate emergencies. Join your fellow city colleagues to discuss how other cities are planning for these changes and how California cities can work together to address this issue.
Topics for discussion will include:
- Drought and drought resiliency
- Local climate adaptation programs and funding
- Partnering with third parties to achieve state and local climate goals
The Roundtable discussion is driven by you and what topics you want to talk about. Let us know those topics here.
Moderator: Derek Dolfie; Legislative Affairs Lobbyist, Environmental Quality; Cal Cities
Roundtable Discussions are available as an exclusive member benefit and are open to Cal Cities member cities only. Discussions are member-driven and will not be recorded. For more information on Roundtable Discussions, please email Meghan McKelvey. For questions specific to registration, please contact Cal Cities’ Registrar, Megan Dunn.
