Just one more week to submit session proposals for the 2021 Cal Cities Annual Conference & Expo

Mar 24, 2021

The League of California Cities is seeking diverse, forward-looking topics for the 2021 Annual Conference & Expo at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in Sacramento, Sept. 22-24.

Take advantage of this special opportunity to share expertise at the premier educational event for local officials and submit a proposal by March 31.

Cal Cities’ three-day annual conference features general sessions, workshops, and networking events. The conference attracts hundreds of leaders from all sections of city government including mayors, council members, city managers, city clerks, city attorneys, fiscal officers, and other city staff.

This year’s conference will offer educational and innovative leadership sessions across a variety of formats with a roster of more than 100 speakers. Much has changed in our cities over the last year, and these sessions will support city leaders by arming them with the latest knowledge, resources, and tools to advance their communities and assist officials in their daily roles and operations within their city.

Call for Proposals
Submissions, that are non-commercial in nature, from individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations, on any topic of interest are welcome. Cal Cities encourages session proposals to be creative and modern in their programming and format.

Session proposals will be evaluated by a spectrum of Cal Cities members through an online survey. Evaluation is based on broad appeal to all Cal Cities members, how current and timely the topic is, originality, innovation, interactive elements, creativity, thought/discussion provoking, evidence-based, and the absence of product/vendor commercialization.

The deadline to submit is Wednesday, March 31.

How to Submit
Only proposals submitted online through the proposal form will be considered. There is a limit to the number of words permitted for each proposal’s title and description. Be sure to read the instructions carefully as requirements differ between sessions. Visit the Call for Proposals webpage for full details.
