Sneak peek at the 2021 Outstanding Local Streets and Roads Project Award winners

The 2021 winners of the Outstanding Local Streets and Roads Project Awards have been revealed, with the cities of Santa Rosa, Santa Clarita, and Oakland taking top honors.

 
The cities of Fremont, Imperial Beach, and Santa Clarita won honorable mentions.

The Outstanding Local Streets and Roads Project Awards program was developed to recognize and raise awareness of the exceptional achievements made by California’s cities and counties to preserve and protect the public’s investment in the local streets and roads system, which is critical for the safety and mobility of the traveling public, emergency responders, law enforcement, the economy, and multimodal needs such as bicycles and buses.

The program is sponsored by the League of California Cities, the California State Association of Counties, and the County Engineers Association of California. The 2021 award winners are:
