CSAC-League Joint Task Force on Homelessness Panel

On the second day of the conference, the morning general session will feature a panel on homelessness and the downstream impacts it is has on local public works departments, including significant trash generation, impacts to water quality and resident health and safety, and damage to public infrastructure, to name a few. This session will focus on statewide efforts to address the root causes of homelessness at the local and state levels and offers some innovative solutions cities and counties are implementing to more permanently house the homelessness population thereby eliminating the significant impacts to public infrastructure and services.

This year’s conference includes:
  • Two and a half days of important educational sessions;
  • Opening general session on Adapting, Succeeding, and Thriving in Public Works with Sarita Maybin, former TedX speaker;
  • Wednesday reception with expo, Thursday breakfast and lunch, and Friday breakfast; and
  • Electronic access to all program materials.
Register online.

The full announcement with schedule and complete session information will be mailed early next week.
